Anthony Bell will prove a great ‘asset’ to Railway Housing Association in his new role as one of our board members.
Anthony officially joined the board on 1st November, replacing Alistair Brown who has stepped down on completion of his maximum nine-year term.
The 40-year-old currently works at Karbon Homes where he is Assistant Director of Assets & Regeneration.
In this role, he is responsible for managing the asset performance of Karbon’s 30,000 homes which stretches from the border of Scotland and into North Yorkshire. This includes overseeing investment in existing properties and the regeneration of estates
A qualified chartered surveyor, Anthony has worked in the private and public sector specialising in commercial and residential sectors for his entire career, including a stint at another housing association, Home Group.
This is his first board and one he says he is looking forward to.
Anthony, who lives in Cramlington, says: “I was looking for my first non-executive role and was encouraged to apply for the board position at Railway Housing Association.
“I was aware of the Association and its history, and it seemed to tick all the right boxes. It’s a great fit for me and I am hoping I can make a major contribution by bringing my experience in asset management and compliance to help the organisation in the future.”
Anne Rowlands, Chief Executive of Railway Housing Association, said: “Anthony brings another new dimension to the board, so we were are very pleased to welcome him to Railway Housing Association.
“His experience in asset management will prove invaluable as we seek to improve our existing properties and look for new affordable housing opportunities.”
