Coronavirus - information for residents

18th March 2020 | posted in News

Information about your wellbeing:

If  a member of your household has tested positive or is self-isolating, please let us know as soon as possible by calling 0800 0287428 or emailing housing@railwayha.co.uk.

When any resident requests a service from us, we will ask questions about their current health in relation to Coronavirus. It will enable us to provide services in the safest possible way.

Home Visits:

We have made the difficult decision not to visit or meet face to face with any residents unless it is absolutely essential. However, we will continue to provide the best possible services by telephone, email and post.

We will contact residents who we believe may be most vulnerable and offer whatever support we can and also put them in touch with other local organisations who may be able to help.

Repairs:

For the foreseeable future we will only carry out –

•Urgent repairs

•Gas servicing, because this is essential for residents’ safety

•Routine health and safety checks in schemes with shared areas such as corridors and lounges.

Non-urgent repairs will be carried out at a later date once the situation allows us to safely reinstate that service.

You may notice our staff and contractors wearing increased levels of protective clothing such as masks, gloves and shoe covers, especially when carrying out essential work in homes where someone has the virus or is self-isolating.

Our Offices:

All of our offices are now closed to the public. You can still contact us by calling free phone 0800 0287428, via our website www.railwayha.co.uk or emailing housing@railwayha.co.uk

Communal areas and resident meetings:

Residents should not use the common room areas in schemes and all social gatherings should be cancelled to minimise the risk of residents catching and passing on the virus.

Please contact us if you have any concerns. We will continue to update you with any new information.
