Proud Northerner Michael Lawrence says he is looking forward to “giving something” back in his new role as a member of the board at Railway Housing Association.
The 39-year-old is the latest appointment to our nine-strong board which has overall responsibility for the day-to-day running of the Association.
A CIMA (Chartered Institute of Management Accountants) qualified accountant, this is Michael’s first non-executive role having previously been in Finance Director and Managing Director roles across a range of industries.
Born and bred in Teesside (Billingham) and with a Business degree from Northumbria University, Michael now lives in Leeds with his wife and two daughters.
He says: “I am very proud of my northern roots and always joke that when I am travelling, the drive north always feels easier!
“I am delighted to be joining an organisation like Railway Housing Association which has its roots in the region and does so much positive work for its residents and the local communities".
“It’s a very strong organisation, I've been really impressed with everything I have seen so far and I am looking forward to bringing my skills and experience and contributing to the continued success of the Association.”
