Who can you call (Ellie!)

Whether it’s dripping taps or broken boilers, it’s very likely that it will be Ellie Tighe who will be trying to help.
That is because as our Maintenance Assistant, Ellie is generally the first port of call for residents contacting us to report an issue in their home.
Ellie joined us in September and works afternoons, with fellow Maintenance Assistant Sharon Worrall taking the morning shift.
Despite only being with us for a month, Ellie says she is already enjoying her new role.
She says: “Before I joined the Association I was working in administration for a solicitor’s firm, but the job I now have here much better suits my skillset.
“I like doing general admin and consider myself a people person, so being able to talk each day to our residents and help them to resolve the issue is something I really enjoy.”
Ellie, 21, has settled quickly with us and she says this very much down to the support she has received from other staff.
She adds: “It was a bit strange starting a job where everyone is no longer in the office, but the staff I have met personally or spoken to on the phone couldn’t have been friendlier or nicer to me, especially my colleague Sahar who has been brilliant, so this has made settling in much easier.
“I am now hoping to develop and learn as much as I can, and progress within the Association in the years to come.”
